Keybox Audits

The Yakima MLS requires you to complete a Key box Audit twice annually. The key box audit asks you to account for the specific location of each key box currently assigned to you. You are allowed one extra key box. All others should be returned to the Yakima MLS. Failure to accurately complete the audit may result in fines and/or suspension of MLS service.

In the above example of a key box audit, the portions that you would fill out are in red.

It is important to note the following while filling out the audit:

  • Key boxes must be on an ACTIVE MLS Listing.
  • Key boxes on Expired listings must be removed.
  • DUE TO NON-COMPLIANCE, key boxes for "upcoming" listings such as re-lists or new listings cannot be used. MLS must be able to see active listings for each key box assigned to you.
  • You are allowed only 1 key box that is not currently on an active listing. Please return any others to MLS office.
  • Tell us WHERE your extra key box is stored. DO NOT JUST WRITE "EXTRA".
  • Your key box audit is not done until it is marked as "COMPLETE" by the MLS.
  • If your key box audit is not turned in by the deadline you will be charged a $25 late fee and your MLS service may be suspended.
